We have sent a bunch of info to you this week so I will be brief with a few hot topics for your<br />
consideration...<br />
<strong>SAM</strong> Youth Endowment<br />
The purpose of the School Administrators of Montana Youth Endowment Fund is to make a positive impact on the youth of Montana by<br />
providing financial assistance to benefit children’s health, welfare, and/or education.<br />
The School Administrators of Montana Youth Endowment Fund has reached fruition. Awards to nominated recipients will be given in<br />
April of each year and announced in the May <strong>SAM</strong> Bulletin. Emergency requests will be accepted and presented to the board on an as<br />
requested basis made throughout the year. Recognition of the award will also be given yearly at the <strong>SAM</strong> Administrators<br />
Institute. Nomination guidelines are listed in the brochure that can be accessed by clicking HERE.<br />
The 2015-<strong>16</strong> <strong>SAM</strong> Youth Endowment nomination application is now available online by clicking HERE . The application is due<br />
by March 18, 20<strong>16</strong>. Please take a moment to review this wonderful opportunity and nominate a deserving student if you are<br />
aware of a need. Please note that only <strong>SAM</strong> members can make a nomination.<br />
Board of Public Education Seeks CSPAC Administrator Position<br />
The Montana Board of Public Education, BPE, is recruiting a practicing school administrator to serve a three year term on the<br />
Certification Standards and Practices Advisory Council, CSPAC. The CSPAC is a seven member group that meets quarterly to study<br />
and make recommendations to the BPE on educator licensure standards, educator preparation program standards, professional<br />
practices and ethical conduct for educators, and policies on suspension, denial or revocation of educator licenses. The online<br />
application for the school administrator position on CSPAC is available at the following link on the BPE<br />

FEMA Step into Preparedness Training<br />
An opportunity for your school team ...<br />
This is an invitation to join the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) STEP into Preparednesswebinar on Thursday,<br />
February 11, 20<strong>16</strong>. FEMA will present the newly updated Student Tools for Emergency Planning (STEP) materials and share tips and<br />
lessons learned from teaching the program.<br />
STEP is a classroom-based emergency preparedness curriculum that teaches fourth and fifth-graders about emergencies and how<br />
to create a disaster supply kit and family emergency communications plan.<br />
