Fremont, CA, Distributor JC Paper Creates Division To Emphasize Jan/San Products By Rick Mullen, Maintenance Sales News Associate Editor Founded in 1956, JC Paper, of Fremont, CA, located in the San Francisco Bay Area, services the printing paper products needs of its northern California and northern Nevada customers. In addition, the company offers a wide array of janitorial/sanitation and foodservice products. “The jan/san side of the business is marketed under the name Clean Smart Solutions, which is a growing division of the company,” said JC Paper President Michael Clarke, during a recent interview with Maintenance Sales News Magazine. “We serve many market segments, including healthcare, janitorial services, commercial real estate (CRE), education, government, etc. The focus of our sales force leans more to the healthcare, schools and janitorial markets.” JC Paper began selling jan/san products 25 years ago, but just in the past year the company has rebranded that part of the business as “Clean Smart Solutions, a division of JC Paper.” As the jan/san side of the business grew and developed a greater presence in the marketplace, company officials thought it was necessary to undergo the rebranding to separate the jan/san and paper sides of the business to avoid confusion among its customers.
