Founded by William Morris,
the SPAB protects the historic
environment from decay,
damage and demolition. It
responds to threats to old
buildings, trains building
professionals, craftspeople,
homeowners and volunteers
and gives advice about
maintenance and repairs.
Since 1877 countless
buildings have been saved for
future generations.
Information about maintaining your home is available through events, courses,
lectures, publications and telephone advice.
To support our work why not join the SPAB? Members receive a quarterly
magazine, our list of historic properties for sale and access to our regional activities.
