<strong>Stanley</strong> is witty and rebellious. <strong>Stella</strong> is a jazz-baby, mild and<br />

sweet. You might remember them from the classic fifties<br />

movie ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’.<br />

That film left an enduring image of a young Marlon Brando who, playing the part of<br />

<strong>Stanley</strong>, wore his t-shirts like no man had ever done before. An image that elevated the<br />

humble t-shirt into an iconic fashion statement and a means of expression for every<br />

generation since.<br />

Today’s t-shirt carries a message that’s more powerful than ever. A message which<br />

The Spring Summer 2015 collection comes with new items influenced by this<br />

Trend in a causal chic look. A new denim collection, deep shades and vibrant<br />

colours are definitely made to last over time. We also innovate by offering a unique<br />

collection of shirts made with 100% organic cotton that is elegant and relaxed<br />

at the same time. You can wear it relax, just so cool. Layering with a tee under, so<br />

young… or wear it with a suit, you look cool even at work.<br />

Denim Here, Denim There,<br />

Denim Everywhere.<br />

For centuries, indigo has shaped fashion.<br />

Today, <strong>Stanley</strong> and <strong>Stella</strong> is the first in the market to offer the versatility<br />

and historical traditions of this iconic colour in a sustainable way. We have<br />

used the denim fabric and its variety of tones to create a unique and edgy<br />

collection. From T-shirts to sweaters and shirts, there is now a denim style<br />

that fits your brand.<br />

Indigo, the colour vibration.<br />

Originally having his roots in Asia, the natural indigo colour was created from<br />

a variety of plants. This colour of the rainbow offers a contrast of a natural<br />

fibre colour with many shades of blue.<br />

For centuries, this worldwide iconic colour has shaped our fashion<br />

trends; today it carries the blue symbolism of a living culture of dye and is<br />

rediscovering its versatility, sustainability and historical traditions. These<br />

intense and moody colours, distinctive by their variety of tones, offer an<br />

essential as well as uniquely edgy touch to our colour range.<br />

Innovating with organic denim.<br />

Denim is a tight weaved fabric (originally a mix of wool and silk, now mostly<br />

100% cotton), which after being dyed with indigo dye colour is used to make<br />

jeans.<br />

In the 1960s, denim symbolized youth culture because so many young baby<br />

boomers wore denim jeans.<br />

The Denim Revolution is a term used by the radical opposition in Belarus<br />

in 2006, and their supporters in the West, who support a color revolution<br />

to implement the reintroduction of democracy, to describe their effort and<br />

aspirations.<br />

Soft touch fabrics<br />

We only choose fabrics that are both highly fashionable<br />

and made from sustainable material, such as<br />

organic cotton, Lenzing® modal, Tencel® and linen.<br />

All these fabrics are produced using less energy<br />

and less water while resulting in less waste.<br />

We pay close attention to every detail. From the<br />

choice of fabric and cut of our garments to the way<br />

they’re stitched together and fastened.<br />

Comfortable apparel<br />

We use the most comfortable fleece fabric with<br />

85% organic cotton and 15% polyester for optimal<br />

comfort and perfect resistance. Adding a special<br />

finishing to give a dull and mat effect.<br />

Perfect fit<br />

We create apparel people wear. That's why we pay<br />

particular attention to the shape and the perfect fit.<br />

From Fitted to Oversized, everybody is able to find<br />

their own style which fits their shape and body.<br />

Special colour effects<br />

Garment dyed means that apparel is dyed after<br />

sewing which gives a shaded used-look effect and<br />

creates a vintage look while imparting incredible<br />

softness. Our special bicolour tees are made from<br />

white/coloured dyed yarns. Upgrade it with your<br />

design, it will look great.

All our fabrics have been chosen with consideration for their<br />

contemporary style and their role as a printing medium.<br />

<strong>Stanley</strong> & <strong>Stella</strong> only work with eco-friendly materials.<br />

Our apparel is therefore made of 100% certified pure organic cotton<br />

or blended with fabrics like Tencel ® or Modal.<br />

Organic Cotton production improves soil fertility and biodiversity,<br />

thanks to diversified crop rotation and non-use of GMOs. Only natural<br />

fertilizers and pesticides are used, so groundwater and rivers are kept<br />

free of chemicals. At the same time, water irrigation is better controlled.<br />

All of <strong>Stanley</strong> & <strong>Stella</strong>’s organic cotton is certified with the globallyrecognized<br />

GOTS standards.<br />

As a premium brand, we want to offer you the best. Which is why we<br />

choose to only use ring-spun combed cotton. Ring-spun fabric is<br />

softer and offers a plain, uniform surface which facilitates the best<br />

results from every kind of printing. In addition, the process of combing<br />

cotton includes special treatment of the cotton fibres during spinning<br />

that cleans them of all dirt, impurities and short fibres. This resulting<br />

fabric is comprised only of the longest fibres, making it stronger,<br />

longer-lasting. 100% biodegradable.<br />

Tencel ®<br />

Tencel ® Lyocell, to give it its full name, is the most environmentally friendly<br />

man-made cellulosic fibre available today. It is produced exclusively from the<br />

wood pulp of Eucalyptus trees, which are sustainably grown on farms.<br />

Tencel ® is fashionable, stylish and well-known for its outstanding physical<br />

characteristics, being silky soft with a soft-flowing, luxurious drape. It is<br />

perfectly smooth, has superb depth of colour, excellent moisture absorbency<br />

and is naturally hygienic as it inhibits the growth of bacteria.<br />

Tencel ® , the eco fibre, makes it possible to create truly environmentallyfriendly<br />

products. Blending this with organically grown cotton, instead of<br />

conventionally grown cotton, gives consumers the opportunity to experience<br />

textiles made entirely of ecologically responsible fibres. 100% biodegradable.<br />

Lenzing ® Modal<br />

The Softer Botanic Fibre. Modal is a man-made regenerated cellulosic fibre<br />

made from sustainably cultivated forest plantations of beech wood trees<br />

transformed into pulp and fibre through the unique Edelweiss technology,<br />

based on oxygen-based chemistry. Lenzing Modal is the only sustainable<br />

Modal in the world today. Lenzing Modal is the perfect fibre for fabrics worn<br />

next to the skin – for day and night, active and relaxation activities. Same<br />

as for the Tencel, the botanic principle means that more trees are planted<br />

that convert carbon dioxide and water into wood and pure oxygen via<br />

photosynthesis. 100% biodegradable.<br />

100% Linen<br />

Skin Microclimate Fibre. Linen is a natural cellulosic fibre from the flax plant,<br />

wanted by most high-end stylists because it has exceptional coolness and<br />

freshness in hot weather and unrivalled ventilated comfort. Fabric with natural<br />

thick/thin/Slub character giving a textured feel, which is considered as part<br />

of the linen fabric’s particular charm. Produced without waste, and using less<br />

energy, less water, linen does not harm nature.<br />

Wool<br />

We have decided to mix Cotton and Wool, to have the warmth of the wool and<br />

the softness and comfort of the cotton. This gives a real winter product while<br />

keeping the sustainability and the premium quality of the styles. The fabric is<br />

soft, really comfortable to wear and warm for the winter season. It also gives a<br />

"casual chic" look.<br />

Loose Knit<br />

Loose knit means knitting with large, loose (with less tension than usual<br />

regular dense knitting). Loose knitting provides a relaxed casual look with an<br />

extremely comfortable feeling thanks to the unbeatable elasticity of the fabric.<br />

All print techniques are suitable on the loose Knit fabric, but the loose knit<br />

appearance will provide an “open structure” look to prints.<br />

From organic cotton farmers, yarn spinners, fabric knitters and dyers to<br />

garment manufacturers, we only choose business partners who can show us<br />

the right certificates and who we’ve personally witnessed acting sustainably<br />

and responsibly within their local environment and treating their people<br />

From fibre sourcing to distribution of the finished product,<br />

we scrutinise every process and every supplier for<br />

sustainability.<br />

Our fabrics are constructed from fibres which are either organically grown or<br />

derived from sustainable sources. All of which are produced using less water<br />

and without harmful chemicals.<br />

Our yarns are spun and our fabrics knitted and dyed on water and energyefficient<br />

machines. Our wet processing / dyeing conforms with GOTS,<br />

OEKO-TEX ® and REACH standards, exceeding them where possible.<br />

Alternative use is found for the by-products from our manufacturing process.<br />

Our suppliers and people working for them are paid a fair price. And we help<br />

them improve their businesses and profitability by sharing knowledge and<br />

ideas that lead to smarter operation.<br />

Fair Wear<br />

Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) is an independent, nonprofit organisation that<br />

works with companies and factories to improve labour conditions for textile<br />

and garment workers.FWF keeps track of the improvements made by the<br />

companies it works with. And through sharing expertise, social dialogue and<br />

strengthening industrial relations, FWF increases the effectiveness of the<br />

efforts made by companies.<br />

GOTS, OCS Blended, OCS 100<br />

Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognised as the world's leading<br />

processing standard for textiles made from organic fibres. It defines high-level<br />

environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain, including<br />

restricting the use of chemical substances and requiring compliance with<br />

social criteria.<br />

OCS Blended applies to all goods that contain a mix of organic cotton and any<br />

other material. The OCS 100 tracks the purchase, handling and use of 100%<br />

certified organic cotton fibres in yarns, fabrics and finished goods through the<br />

use of transaction certificates for factories that don’t yet comply to the GOTS<br />

standard.<br />

OEKO-TEX ® (confidence in textiles)<br />

OEKO-TEX ® Standard 100 Class II is a globally uniform testing and<br />

certification system applying to raw materials used in textiles, intermediate<br />

and end products, at all stages of production.<br />

This certification covers multiple human-ecological attributes, including<br />

harmful substances which are prohibited or regulated by law, chemicals which<br />

are known to be harmful to health, but are not officially forbidden,<br />

and parameters which are included as a precautionary measure to safeguard<br />

health. Textile products may be certified according to OEKO-TEX ® Standard<br />

100 only if all components meet the required criteria without exception.<br />

REACH compliant<br />

The aim of REACH is to improve protection of human health and the<br />

environment through better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties<br />

of chemical substances and through strict use of permitted substances.<br />

Our affiliation with Fairwear Foundation (Corporate Social Responsibility)<br />

as well as our high standard certifications (GOTS, OCS 100, OCS Blended,<br />
