During our Outdoor Education unit 7th and 9th grade students participate in a variety<br />
of physical activities that help them develop responsible personal and social behavior.<br />
They will apply best practices for participating safely in physical team building<br />
challenges. They will use a variety of communication skills and strategies to accomplish<br />
difficult team tasks that require planning and strategy. They will learn how to orientate<br />
a map and use it to navigate a simple course. They also get the opportunity to use a<br />
modern compound and try their hand at the Olympic sport of archery.<br />
