Beginners to level 8. Uneven parallel bars,<br />

balance beam, vault, and floor exercises<br />

will improve strength and coordination. Field<br />

trips to Westside Gymnastics two days each<br />

week. All instructors are trained in gymnastics.<br />

Enrollment: Minimum of 8 and maximum of 24<br />

campers.<br />

Horseback Riding with<br />

Trillium Stables<br />

Daily Field trip to Trillium Stables, Lafayette!<br />

• Week 1: June 27 – July 1<br />

Riding and horsemanship will be covered.<br />

Each day will include grooming and riding<br />

(indoor and outdoor facilities), plus hands-on<br />

demonstrations. Helmets will be provided.<br />

Requirements: <strong>Camp</strong>ers must wear stretchy<br />

or loose fitting long pants and closed toed<br />

shoes. Waiver for Gentle Hill Farms must be<br />

completed. Enrollment: Minimum of 8 and<br />

maximum of 12 campers.<br />

Karate with Marvin Labbate’s<br />

CNY Karate<br />

Daily field trip to CNY Karate!<br />

• Week 7: August 8–12<br />

• For children entering grades 1 & up<br />

• Price Level: B<br />

Daily karate workout with Marvin Labbate<br />

and the experts of CNY Karate in East<br />

Syracuse. Enhances motor skill progression<br />

while addressing lifestyles and self-discipline.<br />

Enrollment: Minimum of 8 and maximum of 24<br />

campers.<br />

Kitchen Science<br />

• For children entering<br />

grades 4 & up<br />

Week 5: July 25–29<br />

• For children entering grades 1–3<br />

Turn the kitchen into a science lab! We have<br />

recipes for gak, crystals and homemade<br />

root beer! <strong>Camp</strong>ers will take a field trip to<br />

the Museum of Science and Technology<br />

(MOST) and create concoctions to take home!<br />

Requirements: <strong>Camp</strong>ers should wear clothes<br />

that can get dirty. Enrollment: Minimum of 8<br />

and maximum of 24 campers.<br />

Nature Nuts<br />

• Week 3: July 11–15<br />

• For children entering<br />

grades 1 & up<br />

• Price Level: C<br />

This camp is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts.<br />

Go into nature for games, crafts and creativity.<br />

<strong>Camp</strong>ers will take field trips to discover the<br />

nature in our backyards. Participate in animal<br />

tracking, making bird feeders, planting,<br />

scavenger hunts, hiking and more. Enrollment:<br />

Minimum of 8 and a maximum of 24 campers.<br />

Outdoor Inspiration<br />

with Mark Raush<br />

• Week 5: July 25–29<br />

• For children entering grades 1 & up<br />

• Price Level: C<br />

Take a field trip to Green Lakes State Park<br />

with a sketchbook to capture the beauty of<br />

nature forever! You’ll use watercolors to bring<br />

the splendor of the outdoors into the art room.<br />

Draw and paint outdoors, and let the wonders of<br />

nature inspire your work! Enrollment: Minimum<br />

of 8 and maximum of 24 campers.<br />

Painting <strong>Camp</strong> with<br />

Mark Raush<br />

• Week 2: July 5–8<br />

• For children entering grades 1 & up<br />

• Price Level: C<br />

<strong>Camp</strong>ers will experience and try out different<br />

types of paints in order to express themselves,<br />

including water color, tempra, and acrylics.<br />

Discover YOUR painting medium while creating<br />

true works of art. <strong>Camp</strong>ers will take a field trip<br />

to the Everson Museum to see other paintings<br />

and get inspired. Enrollment: Minimum of 8 and<br />

maximum of 24 campers.<br />

Photography <strong>Camp</strong><br />

with SU Light Work<br />

Daily field trip to SU Light Work!<br />

• Week 2: July 5–8<br />

• For children entering grades 3 & up<br />

• Price Level: A<br />

In this photography-intensive camp, campers<br />

will learn how to take photos while strolling the<br />

SU campus and surrounding area. Additionally,<br />

the campers will learn how to manipulate<br />

images using various software programs<br />

and Mac computers. <strong>Camp</strong>ers will organize,<br />

edit and enhance photos, and take home a<br />

disc of finished products at the end of the<br />

week. A digital camera is recommended, but<br />

not required. Enrollment: Minimum of 8 and<br />

maximum of 10 campers.<br />
