BUSINESS BESPOKE SOLUTIONS 

While our standard programmes are fully comprehensive across the supply 

chain, we listen to our customers and act on your requirements to create a 

bespoke programme that is relevant to your company's needs. 

LLA believes in FOCUS - Finding Original, Creative and Unique Solutions. 

This is created through our Development Needs Analysis (DNA) process, which is 

designed to review current practices, producing a plan for improvement and the 

associated team development needs. 

Most of our training courses can be delivered ‘in-house’ for up to twelve delegates so 

that larger numbers can be trained in a more cost-effective manner. They can be ‘off 

the shelf’ best practice courses or specifically designed around your company needs for 

a more bespoke solution to common or unusual problems you face on a day-to-day 

basis. These Training Workshops have proven to be very beneficial to the many topline 

companies we have worked with over the last eleven years. 

Using our own Development Needs 

Analysis (DNA) process as shown, LLA 

works with you to review your current 

practices and identify where areas of

DOPSYS 

An example of a bespoke solution is our DOPsys training programme. 

DOPsys (Deliver, Offload & Position System) is the 

world’s first certified process for technical distribution 

and last mile delivery. DOPsys - ‘Your Last Mile 

Manager’ - deals with the technical processes, the 

personnel training, the service specific insurance, the 

IT infrastructure, the specialist mechanical handling 

equipment and the transport vehicles required to 

ensure a premium Technical Distribution Service. The 

ultimate goal for DOPsys is complete customer 

satisfaction for the customer/end user. 

There are three stages to DOPsys full Certification, each stage building on 

the previous; 

DOPsys provides the logistics industry with a measured level of training and a 

clear standard, which will reassure customers that their exacting standards and 

demands will be met. 

DOPsys has been accepted by a European Sustainability Project “LaMiLo” 

(www.lamiloproject.eu) as an industry best practice solution in sustainable, lastmile 

logistics. LaMiLo is funded by the European Regional Development Fund 

(ERDF). 

DOPsys has been adopted by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and 

Transport (CILT) as best practice in technical distribution and the Certification for 

training is awarded by CILT.

SOFT SKILLS 

Soft Skills Courses are an excellent platform to gain knowledge and experience 

based on your current job role. All the soft skill courses offered by LLA are set 

within the context of the relevant Logistics area. 

Each course section is approx 3 hours, however, we offer a full day’s training with 

a mix or range across any of these soft skills to build a course content to meet 

your needs.

classroom, part e-learning) or full Distance e-learning (using SCILplc, our online 

simulated workplace)

REGULATED COURSES 

LLA is an Approved Centre for the CILT, IoSCM and Open Awards. 

Courses are modular and a mix of compulsory and optional units. With our process 

of continuous assessment, there are no examinations to complete for any UK 

Regulated qualifications, except for the Certificate of Professional Comptence for 

Transport Managers (CPC) where examinations are compulsory. 

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport 

(CILT) is the independent professional body for 

individuals associated with logistics, supply 

chains and all transport throughout their careers. 

The Institute of Supply Chain Management 

(IoSCM) has introduced innovative 

programmes for those who wish to develop 

their knowledge and understanding of the 

supply chain from new entrants to the sector 

through to those with extensive experience 

at senior management level. 

Open Awards were the first to design qualifications 

and courses based on credit accumulation so that 

learners could achieve in “bite sized” chunks. The 

units and qualifications designed are now the basis 

of the Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF). 

As pioneers and champions of credit OA are the 

experts in the field use all of this experience to 

design new qualifications. 

During 2016 we will be working with FTA to introduce their Transport 

Manager CPC programme and the Road Freight Operations 

programme. 

ASSOCIATIONS 

LLA is an Associate member of UKWA and is currently 

working with them to develop a Warehouse Manager 

Certificate of Professional Competence aimed to improve 

auditable, professional Standards across the 

Warehousing Sector

OTHER PROGRAMMES 

CPC for transport managers 

LLA also provides the Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) for 

Transport Managers in Road Haulage or Passenger Transport which is for 

individuals to obtain the competency requirements for a Transport Manager as 

required by EU Legislation. 

The qualification is for individuals who want to enter the profession of Transport 

Manager, or demonstrate their professional competence to meet Operator Licence 

requirements. The qualification comprises of one mandatory unit consisting of 

eight elements including Civil Law, Commercial Law, Road Safety, Technical 

Standards and Aspects of Operations and Access to the Market.

These can be delivered as separate courses, taking 

3 hours each, but you can also increase your staff

takes the learners through real worklife scenarios - giving them a role in a realistic

Programmes are delivered by distance learning, online or by face-to-face 

workshops. They can also be a blend of these solutions. Using these methods we 

can deliver our programmes globally.

DELIVERY METHODS 

Workshops 

The LLA workshops are delivered by one of our experienced, in-house Coaches 

and are built around our Simulated workplace environment. We can deliver 

content from our existing portfolio of courses or deliver content criteria specifically 

required by your business. Workshops can be held at our own premises or at your 

own site. Most courses are designed to be between 1 to 5 days depending on the 

content and based on average guided learning hours. Certificates are awarded on 

completion. 

Blended Learning 

The LLA Blended Learning option is a great option for businesses who are 

interested in our SCILworld simulated workplace and would like to keep a 

classroom environment in with the training. We deliver Part Classroom and part 

distance, e-learning through SCILworld. This option can meet overall business 

needs. Cerftificates are awarded on completion of the full course. 

Distance Learning 

The LLA approach to Distance Learning is completely unique, it is delivered online 

(e-learning) through our SCILworld. The simulated environment provides 

students with the knowledge, competence and confidence to make similar 

decisions in the real world. Students can communicate through email, telephone 

and Skype. They are sent a series of bite-size assignments which their Coach will 

assess and provide feedback on, giving support throughout the programme.

WHAT IS SCILWORLD? 

A comprehensive, simulated workplace set within the Logistics and 

Supply Chain Management environment in which students take on a role 

appropriate to their level of study and subject area. 

Why a simulated workplace – because this allows us to simplify and provide the 

required data to the students so that in the course of their studies they concentrate 

on understanding the theory and how it applies in a realistic working environment, 

not on data collection.

After a couple of years working in a supply chain environment, I thought of getting a certificate to have 

something to show to potential future employers. I dreaded the thought of committing myself to a course, 

so I kept putting it off for a couple of more years.
