GO TREK Ghorepani-Poon Hill Trek An easy trek, the Ghorepani-Poon Hill Trek in the Annapurna region is recommended for beginners. Following a gentle up-and-down gradient, even children (above the age eight) have been able to complete the trek. The highest altitude reached on this trek is 3210m. The trail winds through rhododendron forests (which burst into riotous shades of blazing reds and delightful whites and pinks during spring) and charming Gurung and Magar villages. The piéce de résistance of this trek is the hike up the vantage point of Poon Hill (3210m) to witness the colourful symphony of the early morning sun touching the white spires of Annapurna I, Gangapurna, Dhaulagiri, Neelgiri and Huinchuli in hues of rose, pink, yellow and golden.
