Conjuncture note concerning the textile sector in <strong>Romania</strong> – YEAR <strong>2009</strong><br />
• Mondial general economic crises<br />
• The bureaucratic system in <strong>Romania</strong> does nor encourage the investors<br />
• The fluctuation of the skilled working people and migration to the western EU countries<br />
• The increase in utilities prices, the high costs related to salaries, medical and maternity<br />
leaves;<br />
• The instability of the <strong>Romania</strong>n fiscal code and the retroactive application of the fiscal<br />
legislation;<br />
• Unfair competition from companies in China, India, Turkey, which, due to facilities<br />
offered by the respective states<br />
• Narrowing the raw materials base especially for synthetic thread and fibers<br />
The developments and modernizing of the textile industry planned for the period up to 2013 take<br />
into consideration the growing of the competitiveness of the <strong>Romania</strong>n textile products because<br />
of the accession to UE and the reaction to the invasion of the market with products from Asia.<br />
These will contribute to:<br />
- the regain of the domestic market<br />
- growing the export to EU markets and othernew markets<br />
- growing the export of processed products: yarns, woven and knitted fabrics, garments<br />
