We have all seen the headlines. “Flying Tire hits<br />
vehicle”, but this can be misleading. In fact, this type of<br />
“wheel separation” is rare, and usually indicative of a<br />
maintenance issue. This session will discuss the history<br />
and science of wheel separations, and also address a<br />
multi-stakeholder issue: making Ontario roadways safer.<br />

In this educational session, CAREX Canada will focus on<br />
important occupational carcinogens in Canada: where<br />
the most people are exposed, and the exposures that are<br />
expected to be high. It will also highlight new estimates<br />
of occupational radon exposure and explain how past<br />
workplace radon exposures, influence current rates of<br />
lung cancer in Canada.<br />
