cooling air to the powerfully engine. X-BIONIC ® transfers that concept to the athletic chassis: clothing. Ventilation slots guide the 

wind of your travel over your back into the unique 3D Bionic Sphere ® System, a core technology of the X-BIONIC ® SystemGear. 


Your body produces varying levels of body heat in 

different areas. An especially high quantity of heat 

comes from the chest and back because these 

surfaces are intended to protect your internal 

organs. This is where the 3D Bionic Sphere ® 

System leaves a thin layer of sweat which is not 

recognised by your body as dampness. Sweat Traps ® 

absorb excess sweat, allow it to evaporate, and

Bike Pad 

The Bike Pad is anatomically formed and fits 

the male anatomy perfectly. With it, pressure 

is removed from sensitive capillaries and 

nerves. It is not simply sewn onto the 

pant as traditional bike pads are. Instead, 

X-BIONIC ® leaves off the chamois during 

the manufacturing of the pants and then 

sews it in separately by hand so the fit

Every engine — even your body — has a temperature range in which it can produce high performance. If it‘s too hot, it overheats. If it‘s too 

cold, it may be damaged. Most sportswear ignores this even though excessive sweating or chills can cause the body to lose a lot of energy. 

After all, athletes can use up to 97% of their energy regulating their own body temperature. And they‘re ready for outstanding performance

Some technology has been optimised over millions of years. It‘s the secret of the success of survival artists like the thorny 

devil, a desert lizard that manages its fluid metabolism perfectly even in the most extreme heat. From it, X-BIONIC ® has 

distilled the ground-breaking Thorny Devil Technology. Against all expectations — and against the force of gravity — perspiration 

is wicked up through channels to zones of the body where it can exert its cooling effect most efficiently. More cooling means

1 Sweat Collector 

Sweat Collectors are placed where the body accumulates 

the most sweat. This is where sweat is soaked up like 

a sponge and moved gradually through the thickened 

structures of the HydroPort yarn to Sweat Transporters. 

With this network of transporting yarn, sweat is shuttled 

to the Sweat Distributor zone. 

2 Sweat Transporter 

Like a network of tiny canals, the sweat-transporting 

HydroPort yarn wraps around the body. Sweat on the 

abdomen and back is continuously guided to the Sweat 

Distributors on the upper thighs. Sweat Transporters 

ensure that sweat can evaporate there, exactly where 

it can have the largest possible cooling effect on 

overheated muscles. 

3 Sweat Distributor 

The design of the Sweat Distributors takes its lead from 

the anatomy of the muscles. Its construction combines 

X-BIONIC ® Partialkompression ® and knit-in ridges that 

cool off muscles. Guided by Sweat Transporters, sweat 

is gathered over a broad area in the Sweat Distributors, 

which are at-the-ready as a cooling mechanism. If heat 

is produced, evaporation immediately counteracts it. 

Sweat Distributors provide additional cooling for 

heat-intensive muscle areas.

back. Air flowing along the back is used to manipulate 

wind resistance. Fine little vortices at the break-away 

edge are captured by the 3D Bionic Sphere ® System in 

the interior of the jacket. Vapour pressure generated by 

body heat guides moisture resulting from perspiration out 

of the jacket. The air streaming over the jacket takes the

Along the back, the six V-shaped V6-AirIntakes complete 

the concept of back ventilation. Starting at the angle of the 

V-shaped AirIntake, the air flowing past forms a tiny vortex 

that pulls the moisture out of the jacket. The layers of air 

above slide stably past. Within the interior of the jacket, 

the V6-AirIntake system acts as a valve, allowing the air 

circulating there to escape.
