What do we mean by health food? Everything that
can either make us more healthy, or less healthy. All of
Pooch & Mutt’s foods are ‘Naturally Powered’ - packed
full of natural, active ingredients, tailored to specific
life conditions, to keep dogs as healthy as possible.
“LET THY FOOD BE THY MEDICINE,
AND THY MEDICINE BE THY FOOD” HIPPOCRATES
Hippocrates, the ‘father of modern medicine’, lived
in ancient Greece over 2,000 years ago. He knew
more than a lot about health and wellbeing and the
importance of good nutrition. Like Hippocrates, we at
Pooch & Mutt believe in the power of good nutrition;
that ‘good health starts with what we eat’, and that
this is as true for our four-legged friends as it is for us.
Pooch & Mutt foods are not only free from the junk
food found in a lot of dog foods, they are also packed
with natural, powerful active ingredients to help your
dog lead a happy, healthy life.

WHEAT-FREE TREATS
BRAIN & TRAIN
Includes chicken, Ginkgo biloba and coconut oil. Ginkgo biloba is thought to have been cultivated in China
for over 1,500 years. It is traditionally used as a memory and concentration aid. Coconut oil is a source of
medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs). MCTs are converted into ketones, which act as an energy source for
the brain. These treats can both aid dogs in training and elderly dogs.
PUPPY DEVELOPMENT
Includes chicken, linseed and chicory. Your puppy’s brain develops extremely quickly. Linseed is a natural
source of omega 3, essential for proper brain growth. Plus, omega 3 has been shown to aid puppy memory,
so can help trainability. Chicory is a natural prebiotic that helps promote the correct functioning of the
digestive system, as puppies can have delicate digestion.
CALM & RELAXED
Includes lamb, chamomile and L-tryptophan. Chamomile was traditionally used in ancient Greece, Egypt
and beyond to aid relaxation. L-tryptophan is essential to form serotonin, the ‘feel good’ neurotransmitter.
Give these treats to your dog before stressful situations such as visits to the vets, car journeys, fireworks,
competitions, separation or just as a nice bedtime treat.
FRESH BREATH
Includes chicken, parsley, peppermint oil and chicory. Parsley is a source of chlorophyll, a natural deodoriser.
Peppermint not only gives breath a fresh scent, it can also aid digestion. Poor digestion is often a cause
of bad breath. Chicory is a natural prebiotic that can help the proper functioning of the digestive system.
The biscuit’s abrasive action can clean your dog’s teeth as they chew.
HEALTH & DIGESTION
Includes chicken, parsley, charcoal and chicory. Parsley has been used since the 4th century BC to aid
digestion, especially in cases of bloating and flatulence. Charcoal was originally used in ancient Egypt;
it works by absorbing foods that haven’t been properly digested, which can cause gas. Chicory is a natural
prebiotic, which can help to regulate digestive bacteria.
FEEL GOOD
Includes oats, rice, rye, chicken, yeast extract, rosemary extract. 10p per pack sold goes to dog charities.
This includes both large and small charities, not just the well known ones.
MOVE EASY
Includes chicken, linseed, rose hip (Rosa canina) and yucca. Linseed is a natural source of omega 3, which is
essential for joint health. Rose hip is high in antioxidants and vitamin C. Scientific studies have shown the
Rosa canina variety of rose hip to be an effective way to maintain joint comfort. Yucca was traditionally fed by
Native Americans to their animals to aid joint function and mobility.

“Her hair has grown back, her coat looks great, and she is no longer
scratching.” Sheena Goudie
He seems more at ease, skin colouration which was very pink on his belly
has calmed down significantly, and the scratching has lessened.” Paul Kelly
A month ago, Pebble’s stools weren’t right. Since being on ‘Bionic Biotic’,
her stools have been so much better. She has more energy, and is more
herself!” Emma King
“We use ‘Mobile Bones’ for our dog who’s eight years old. Her recovery
after a long walk is much quicker.” Independent
Review
“Not long after starting ‘Mobile Bones’, Oscar was jumping over things
that he had stopped being able to.” Sue Thomson
“I feed my dog a raw diet and use ‘Mobile Bones’ as a daily supplement
to give the extra nutrients she needs. She gets so many compliments
wherever we go and at almost 7, she is as fit and youthful looking as she
has always been.” Independent
