Arundhati, who had a job, became the
financier and marketer and Hughen, the creator
and innovator. They got some space outside
the garage of a generous mechanic in Mumbai’s
Marol pipeline area and started their venture.
Hughen wanted to design simple affordable
machines that were easy to operate. Arundhati
had the task of getting the first client.
To see a woman on the shopfloor was a
wonder. And a young woman trying to market
an engineering
product was
unheard of. But
Arundhati did not
give up. Her passion
and conviction
finally got them
their first order.
They moved out
of the garage to a
small rented place.
Plazma
Technologies was born. There has been
no looking back since. From 1994, Plazma
Technologies has maintained long-term growth
of turnover & profit, based on continuous
development of self financed proprietary
technology innovations. Hughen and Arundhati
share their passion with over 1,200 Plazma
machine and 48 Global robotic system users.
Arundhati’s vision has built enviable

That Plazma has filed in for patents, copyrights
and trademarks every two years in the last two
decades reflects the company’s phenomenal
tryst with imagination and ingenuity. But as
Arundhati rues, it took global recognition to be
acknowledged in your own country.
Plazma has won worldwide IPRs and today
the company’s value chain comprises over 1200
users and customers including mega PSUs,
Giant Indian Corporates, MNCs as well as
SME players across India, USA, Africa, Kuwait,
Mauritius, Oman, Dubai, Abudhabi and Sri
Lanka.
Arundhati takes a month off the grid every
year to follow her heart. She loves music, dance
and scuba diving. Books are her constant
companions.

Her daughter
Skye is a strong
independent
individual who has
chosen to pursue creative arts.
Arundhati strongly believes that children
need to be groomed into STEM fields like
Robotics from an early age as she believes that
unadulterated minds of children in rural areas,
who don’t have as much exposureto technology
and gadgets can be great innovators. She is
now working on a state of art “RoboPlazma
Technology Training school” devoted to
better appreciation and application of physics,
software and robotics.
