Expressive Arts Evening
Performing Arts
‘Class of 2016’/Year 11 BTEC Performing Arts students showcased a mixture of brilliant Musical
Theatre Songs. The songs came from famous musicals such as Wicked; Mamma Mia; Les Miserables
and Funny Girl. One student recreated an intriguing and famous Shakespeare Monologue. The work
produced by the students was all rehearsed, produced and performed independently. The work they
chose to share in the evening was work which they spent several weeks producing for their external
exam. This was worth 25% of their overall BTEC grade. Miss Cooper, Head of Drama, said, ‘The
students have shown excellent confidence, organisation and professionalism in their work and I am
proud of their success.’
