Ecstasy<br />
As my body fills with the music<br />
my heart swells within.<br />
My limbs begin to move at their will<br />
as if searching for my soul.<br />
My whole being is filled with energy<br />
seeking ways to express this ecstasy<br />
and become absorbed into creation.<br />
The magnificence of the experience<br />
totally overwhelms me.<br />
My hands reach up in prayerful<br />
gratitude, for this moment in time.<br />
As I continue to move in unison with the melody<br />
I am aware of a force within;<br />
a voice calls out –<br />
it is my inner child<br />
who so longs to be expressed.<br />
She can now be who she wants to be,<br />
free of restrictions, fears and taboos.<br />
A child in love with life<br />
who yearns to dance and sing.<br />
A child enchanted <strong>by</strong> the forces of nature –<br />
wind, rain, a raging sea<br />
are all a part of her…<br />
Tears of emotion well up inside me,<br />
I cry out – a cry of release<br />
a cry of pure joy…<br />
