side to make it a tense finish for the visitors

last play of the game they were looking to
break down the left edge until a forward
pass brought them back. The final whistle
sounded and the Cavaliers celebrated on
the field as they were crowned the 2016
league champions of the Five Counties Cup
after a hard fought 24-28 victory.

All the attention will now turn to the finals
day which will be held next Sunday 10th
July at Tilsley Park prior to the Oxford RL
v Gloucestershire All Golds Game where
the Family Fun Day will get under way
from 10:30am. Oxford Cavaliers will be
hoping to complete the treble after they
have already won the Oxford Gold Cup
and Five Counties League in 2016 but the
Brentwood Eels will no doubt come back
stronger looking for revenge.
