Case Study
G20 Summit 2014
ID Warehouse partnered with Thales to help provide the Event Management System (EMS)
for the G20 Summit 2014.
The G20 Summit held in Brisbane on the 15-16 November 2014 had approximately
40,000 attendees. ID Warehouse supported Thales to ensure the security of the meeting
venues with minimum inconvenience to the G20 delegates. The EMS provided registration,
accreditation, physical security access control and event information management.
A major contribution ID Warehouse provided to ensure the safety and security of the
summit was the RFID access control system, enabling secure access to the event site and
surrounding areas for people and vehicles.
The access control system comprised of:
• RFID software which securely stored
and managed attendee and vehicle
authorisation information;
• Walk-through RFID access control
portals that physically allow or disallow
admittance into event sessions;
• Handheld RFID scanners for mobile
scanning, all working seamlessly
together to provide secure person and
vehicle accreditation.
In addition, ID Warehouse also
supplied:
• RFID adhesive vehicle access passes
• RFID access cards and encoders
• Fargo HDP5000 PVC card printers to
personalise attendee access cards
• Custom holographic overlays to add a
layer of visual verification
• Custom lanyards and card holders
ID Warehouse worked closely with Thales and our other expert suppliers to supply a
complete solution, properly scoped and timed in line with deadlines, with complete
flexibility to any last minute changes or additions to meet any requirements.
