Dear Cavaliers:<br />
One of the great things about <strong>CCES</strong> is parent participation to support student activities. No<br />
group participates more fervently than our Booster Club. The Booster Club Board meets<br />
monthly and in concert with the school administration and the athletics director provides<br />
leadership and manpower for the organization. Booster Club members staff the gates to ball<br />
games, man the concessions, organize the events surrounding games, and play a lead role in<br />
apportioning funds to upgrade facilities. The new entrance to McCall Field House, the sidewalk<br />
along the baseball stadium, and the press box and scoreboard on Linda Reeves Field was<br />
partially funded by a Booster Club gift. The Booster Club was a major donor in the renovation<br />
of the athletic facilities that the Faith in the Future campaign comprised.<br />
The Booster Club is one of the engines of the school that exemplify the singular beauty of<br />
independent schools—generous and voluntary action on behalf of students. Like the Parents<br />
Organization, Arts Guild, and other parent support networks, the Booster Club supplies the<br />
filigree that connects faculty and staff with parents, and all of us to students. I am deeply<br />
grateful to the Booster Club for its continuous support of the <strong>CCES</strong> athletics program, one of<br />
the assets of <strong>CCES</strong> that makes the school so attractive to families. The Booster Club promotes<br />
our sense of connection as a community around the wonderful performances of student<br />
athletes in sports.<br />
I invite our community to join the Booster Club. The rewards of membership are bountiful and<br />
longlasting in terms of life long friendships.<br />

Welcome to another exciting year of Cavalier Athletics. Our student-athletes and coaches look forward to continuing the<br />
tradition of excellence in the classroom and on the playing fields. The same focus, discipline, and commitment our studentathletes<br />
strive for in the classroom is carried over to the playing fields.<br />
The <strong>CCES</strong> coaching staff continues to stress the importance of skill development, teamwork, and discipline. These are<br />
qualities our student/athletes will utilize throughout their entire lives. Good sportsmanship is another area our coaches<br />
stress, not only within our teams but also toward our opponents.<br />
While the Coaching Staff plays a major part in the success of our Athletic Programs, the Athletic Department also recognizes<br />
the importance of the support from our families and Booster Club. This encouragement allows our coaches to prepare our<br />
athletes for competition. Thank you for this support.<br />
The <strong>CCES</strong> Athletic Program received many team and individual accomplishments during the 2014-2015 school year.<br />
<strong>CCES</strong> won the Athletic Director’s Cup, recognizing overall excellence in the Athletic Program. Our Boys Golf team won<br />
their 3rd consecutive State Championship (their 15thoverall), the Lady Cavaliers captured the State Championship in<br />
Girls Basketball, and our Boys Swim Team claimed their first State Championship. The Cavalier Football Team won their<br />
4th consecutive State Championship and extended their winning streak to 54 games. Congratulations to ALL of our <strong>CCES</strong><br />
Teams!<br />
Dorien Dickey, Rudy Johnstone, Sitton Furman, Cole Bradley, and Jack Schofield were selected to participate in their<br />
respective sports’ All-Star Games. These selections are made by the coaches of the individual sport, and all four classes<br />
are represented. Congratulations to our athletes for this tremendous honor.<br />

Dear Cavalier Fans,<br />
On behalf of the twenty-six Board Members and countless volunteers and supporters, I welcome<br />
you to the 2015-2016 Cavalier Athletic Season. Our campus is alive with activity. The<br />
new team photos are being posted on the expanded and renovated Press Box at Carson<br />
Stadium. New state championship trophies are in the Trophy Corridor. The new scoreboard<br />
and lights beam at Linda Reeves Field. And the new Cavalier Blue Wind Screens surround the<br />
baseball and softball fields.<br />
As our family sends our second Cavalier graduate off to college this year, I am reminiscent of<br />
all the exciting times we have had at <strong>CCES</strong> sporting events. If you’re new to sports at <strong>CCES</strong>,<br />
you have a great ride ahead. Our Athletic Department staff and coaches are dedicated and<br />
outstanding. Our fans are amazing and the excitement and vitality around campus during<br />
sporting events is contagious. Enjoy every moment!<br />
I would like to thank all the businesses, individuals and parents of our student athletes who<br />
have purchased ads in the Sports Program. As you frequent these business partners please<br />
take a moment to recognize their support of <strong>CCES</strong> Athletics. I’d also like to thank all the<br />
members of the Booster Club for your support: on the fields, in the concessions stands, at the<br />
gates and of course with your donations. Sponsors of the Booster Club have impacted <strong>CCES</strong><br />
in so many areas on and off the field, including providing assistance for athletes in need and<br />
