No smoking regulations are becoming stricter due to the OHS Act. Employers need to keep employees and visitors 

safe within workplaces or public areas. Many Workcover Authorities have recently revised their no smoking regulations and enforce smoking bans in 

most public areas. Employers need to ensure that they meet specified requirements in their state. WorkCover NSW recommends that a smoke free 

workplace policy be developed for each workplace. It also states that “designated smoking areas must be outdoors with no possibility of
