Who was the biggest influence on you as a football player? Charles Hunt: My middle school coach at Burnet
Middle School. Coach Hunt introduced me to the game and instilled a passion to succeed both on and off the field.
He took the time to invest in each player and often gave me rides to and from practice because my parents couldn’t
due to their jobs. Coach Hunt also inspired me, at a young age, to become a coach and make a positive difference
in the lives of the athletes I have the privilege to coach.
Who was the biggest influence on you as a football
player? My father, Bob Hermes, was my biggest influence to
play football and become a coach. He took me to every
Friday night football game as a kid, and he was always there
to play catch in the yard. He was my biggest fan and is the
reason I coach today.
