Safety rules
AET’s mandatory ten safety rules, listed below, reinforce what employees must know and do to
prevent injury or fatality. These rules are designed to protect both our people and our organisation.
Non-compliances to the rules will lead to consequences. Please familiarise yourself with these rules
and ensure that you adhere to them at all times.
Work with a valid Permit to Work (PTW) when required.
Conduct a gas test where required.
Verify energy isolations before starting work.
Protect yourself against a fall when working at height or overside.
Wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for the job at all times.
Obtain authorisation before entering an enclosed space.
Obtain authorisation before overriding or disabling safety critical equipment.
Do not position yourself under a suspended load.
Do not use mobile phone while driving or whilst on duty
onboard vessels. Wear a seat belt and follow speed limit.
No drugs or alcohol while working, driving or onboard vessels.
Do not smoke outside designated smoking areas.
