upward directions respectively. Brahma lied that he got the<br />

end, while Vishnu <strong>co</strong>nceded his defeat.<br />

After that Shiva appeared as a se<strong>co</strong>nd pillar <strong>of</strong> light and cursed<br />

the Lord Brahma that he will not worship in ceremony while<br />

Vishnu will be worship till the end <strong>of</strong> eternity.<br />

This Jyotirlingam is part <strong>of</strong> that supreme partless reality, and these Jyotirlingams are placed where Shiva appeared as a fiery<br />

<strong>co</strong>lumn <strong>of</strong> light. There are 64 Jyotirlingams but 12 <strong>of</strong> them are <strong>co</strong>nsidered as most <strong>of</strong> the holiest lingams.
