MONTHLY UPDATE: AUGUST 2016
Wow, what a summer! SCCS has been enjoying the beautiful outdoors and a number of new installations as the sunny
days followed by beautiful summer showers let us bask in this amazing season. If you are in our offices perhaps you
take some of the beauty that we see every day for granted. We had the pleasure of hosting someone from Phoenix earlier
this month and she kept remarking at how beautiful, lush and green our state is. We hear this fairly often, so let’s
pause and enjoy the scenery wherever we are. Now, for those of you that know me well I will throw in my two cents
worth of praise for…air conditioning!
July found us busy as usual with trade shows, industry events and the planning for all the ones to come. The beginning
of the month Meg Wilson hosted a few dozen of the largest assisted living and independent living companies at the
annual Senior Lifestyle match event which was in Arizona. There were a few familiar faces but by and large Meg was
able to open up very meaningful dialogue with a cache of potential new SCCS clients. Also in July, SCCS was proud
to sponsor the Atlanta NEWH bowling team. The NEWH or National Executive Women in Hospitality also branded
as The Hospitality Industry Network is a group that we are always proud to sponsor as they promote scholarship,
education and business networking in so many areas of the country. We were also fortunate to be invited to attend a
BIFMA/NeoCon type of event in New York City at the showrooms of 200 Lexington. That’s a great opportunity to
remind everyone that office buildings and their environs are often built with attention to detail for outdoor spaces as
well and we do indeed count that as a niche market segment to pursue with vigor!
