TRAINING OF FOREIGN CADETS
Over the years the National Defence Academy
has grown from strength to strength. It has proved
to be a global centre of excellence for military
training and its interactions with foreign military
academies have increased manifold. There have
been several exchange programmes between
the Academy’s cadets and those of the military
academies of Japan, United States, Australia and
Thailand, besides others. Even the number of
foreign cadets trained at the NDA has increased.
Today, the Academy has the distinction of having
trained more than 800 cadets from 30 countries
— Afghanistan, Bhutan, Ethiopia, Fiji, Ghana,
Iran, Iraq, Kenya, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan,
Libya, Lesotho, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius,
Nepal, Nigeria, Palestine, Papua New Guinea,
Rwanda, Seychelles, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Sudan,
