Light and
shadow as the
fourth
dimension of
architecture
The play of light and shadow of the
numerous niches characterizes the spatial
architecture of this kitchen. Inserted horizontally
and nonuniformly in the cooking area below
the ceiling as well to the left and right, they become
stylistic media reminiscent of the kitchen areas
of antiquity, while simultaneously offering
additional storage space. The design not only
of the different lighting fixtures, but of the
light itself becomes a design element.
