Design as a podium<br />
<strong>Leolux</strong> creates a world in which each piece of furniture has a<br />
place of its own. Everything we do happens with that in mind; In<br />
the field of fine art, photography, styling and stand creation.<br />
<strong>Leolux</strong> is constantly breathing new life<br />
into its collection with new impulses<br />
that inspire and motivate. In doing so,<br />
<strong>Leolux</strong> also offers opportunities in a never-ending<br />
search for new talent.<br />
Presenting design<br />
Creativity has many faces. Not only in<br />
design, but also in presenting the <strong>Leolux</strong><br />
collection, creativity performs a key role.<br />
The right photographer, the loveliest<br />
styling for advertisements, the layout<br />
of brochures and websites. And what<br />
about the thinking behind the standbuilding<br />
or furnishing of the <strong>Leolux</strong> Design<br />
Centers? Creatives from <strong>Leolux</strong> and<br />
from outside work together to come up<br />
with presentations that do justice to the<br />
furniture and offer inspiration for dealers<br />
and consumers. That process evolves<br />
with the trends and hence represents a<br />
permanent challenge.<br />
The future<br />
<strong>Leolux</strong> has been seeking cooperation<br />
with young designers for many years<br />
now. In the past that took the form of<br />
the design competition “Laudatio”.<br />
More recently, <strong>Leolux</strong> has been working<br />
closely together with the Design<br />
Academy Eindhoven and in the meantime<br />
students of design in Aachen and<br />
Maastricht have been coming in with<br />
their ideas. For the designers of the future,<br />
the Netherlands’ biggest furniture<br />
producer is a learning environment, but<br />
the inspiration works in two directions.<br />
The students of the design course have a<br />
fresh view on design, and that regularly<br />
reveals new insights, even for experienced<br />
craftsmen. Their very latest knowhow<br />
and their frankness when it comes<br />
to furniture design inspire the people at<br />
<strong>Leolux</strong> and redefine the limits of what is<br />
possible.<br />
Podium<br />
Experience and visibility are both essential<br />
for young designers. So, besides<br />
becoming acquainted with the business<br />
of design, <strong>Leolux</strong> offers the designers of<br />
the future a podium too. With prototypes<br />
built at <strong>Leolux</strong>, they present themselves<br />
to the world – the real world and<br />
the virtual one. Via the Internet, they<br />
blog and twitter themselves a path to<br />
fame. Various products created at <strong>Leolux</strong><br />
in recent years have been visualized<br />
worldwide in this way.<br />
