WHAT WILL I LEARN?
Auto Body Technology is
designed to qualify students
for positions in the repairing,
rebuilding, and refinishing of
vehicles damaged in collisions
and other accidents.These
specialized skills are offered
through both a two-year
associate degree program and
multiple one-year certificate
programs.
Students will develop skills in
the use of body shop tools,
equipment and materials, as
well as in frame alignment, body
alignment and glass replacement.
Instruction is also offered in
removing dents from fenders and
body panels, welding torn metal,
replacing badly damaged parts
and body painting.
We even have a Custom Auto/
Street Rod Fabrication certificate
track for individuals who want
to explore the basic techniques
needed to design, modify and
build street rods or custom
automobiles.
The overall program includes
developmental knowledge in
bookkeeping, estimating, and
repair orders. Eastfield College’s
modern auto body laboratory
is equipped with the finest auto
repair equipment.
Skilled auto body repairers and
refinishers can have careers with
automobile repair shops, trucking
companies and bus lines, or
working for federal, state or local
governments.
