Walking in her essence is all around you in the living
area and dining room and I could not get the sound
of what I could only describe as her humming as she
went about busily preparing for her new guests. The
décor was antique and very inviting but as I began
my ascent into the upper level of the house I could
feel someone else, an older gentleman and the sound
of loud voices coming from the back of the house.
The gentleman was from an earlier time, somewhere
in the late 1800s, very stern, very orderly and gave
me the feeling that I was being inspected and judged
appropriately. He had a hat on his head and
something in his hand, couldn’t make out what it
was, but it was long and had a handle, but soft like
a piece of leather. He is into order, and not happy
with the way his establishment is being run.
Later as I sat in the dining room, I chatted with a
staff member who gave me the history of the house..
It ws built in the mid 1800s, by the man for whom it
is named. It served as a post office and a stage
