FREE EVENT 10:30am-4:00pm Allesley Park’s
18th century walled garden set in 52 acres
of historic parkland was constructed during
the reign of George III. It has been partly
re-created by a group of volunteers producing
chemical-free food for its monthly markets
and also serves as an educational resource for
local schools and the community. Sunday -
cookery demonstrations, home brewed wine
competition, crafts, children adventure trail,
treasure hunt and traditional live music. Tours
will be available each day at 2:00pm.

September 2005. Visitors can expect a behind
the scene tour of the broadcasting studios and

Retro Truck Show

wonderfully preserved example of Victorian
engineering, brought back to life by
Birmingham Conservation Trust. Experience
a time capsule, with its working machinery
and unusual products - coffin handles and
ornaments, linings and shrouds - left on the

set down their tools and left for the very last
time. Costumed guides will lead you around
the factory where you will experience the
sights, sounds and smells of factory life and
