About the Client
The Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) was incorporated on July 29, 1992 as a subsidiary of The
Nigerian Stock Exchange. It was commissioned on April, 1997 and commenced operations on April 14,
1997. It is a limited liability company which was incorporated by the Corporate Affairs Commission. It
was licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission as an Agent for Central Depository, Clearing
and Settlement of transactions in the stock market. It operates a computerized depository, clearing
settlement and delivery system for transactions in shares listed on The Nigerian Stock Exchange.
Goals and Objectives of the Web Portal
• To serve as an electronic brochure and online transaction portal for the company
• Provide a background on the CSCS mission and core values
• Provide resources/information to prospective and current CSCS clients
• Increase market recognition of CSCS Plc to enable unique network offerings and services
• To improve ease of access to up-to-date information for our clients on:
• To create an integrated web site that projects a consolidated and consistent image of CSCS Plc.
• This portal will integrate with current core data
• Cater to the needs of our clients where they are able to retrieve/navigate information
• Security and back up for the site is a priority
