Greg Nordbak has retired after 19 years of service on
the City Council for the City of Whittier, California. He
was elected five times starting in 1994, and served as
Mayor for a total of four years. During that time, he
was also elected to represent the cities in the San
Gabriel Valley with water pumping rights on the San
Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority, serving as the
Chairman for six years. Additionally, Greg served as
the Chairman of the Los Angeles County Sanitation
District which is made up of all 72 mayors of the cities
in Los Angeles County. Finally, he served one year
as President of the Gateway Cities Council of
Government, which is made up of 11 cities south of
Whittier including the Ports of Long Beach and Los
Angeles. Congratulations on a wonderful career, Greg,
and best wishes for your retirement!

After graduating from the Academy, G. Stedman
Huard II, MD, FACS attended USC and graduated in
1974. From there he attended the Kansas University
School of Medicine and graduated in 1980. He spent
the next five years at the same institution in General
Surgery, then attended the Baylor College of Medicine
in Houston with the very notable Dr. Michael DeBakey
for two years doing Vascular Surgery. He has now been
practicing for 28 years, operating on arteries and veins
in the aged. He’s saved thousands of lives throughout
his career.

Marvin Rouhotas Jr. continues his journey in healthcare
and medicine. He was recently selected as the
new CEO/President of Andrews Memorial Hospital in
Kingston, Jamaica, a not for profit, faith-based
hospital. It is a full-service hospital that, in his tenure,
will be designed and developed into the cardiovascular
and neuroscience center for the Caribbean. His wife,
Kimberly, is an ultra-sonographer who works in the
imaging department at the hospital who has seen,
examined, and helped patients with interesting
pathology seen rarely, if at all, in the United States.
They are blessed to be at the hospital, and send their
best to all of the alumni and faculty at Army and Navy
Academy. Blessings to all!

2015; a second marriage for both he and his wife. The
wedding was held in their airplane hangar at Columbia

Theo Yu has expanded his leadership training
business from the Pacific Northwest to the Republic
of the Philippines where he has been working in
the Philippines with Filipino nongovernmental
organizations (NGOs) who are building a community
of over 300 homes in the city of Tacloban after it was
devastated by super-typhoon Haiyan on November 8,
2013. In addition, he helps managers from Southeast
Asian and African NGOs improve their financial
management practices through a training program
offered by a Filipino NGO.
