AGES 14+
ASSISTANT OFFICIAL COURSE
Anyone aged 14 or over interested in gaining an
insight and introduction to the key areas of officiating
that will enable them to assist at track and field
meetings under the supervision of a qualified UKA
Technical Official.
This course will allow delegates to learn:
• The responsibilities and role of an Assistant Official
• Measuring and recording times and distance
• Making, sharing and recording judgements
• Ensuring safety and reporting concerns
• Communicating with athletes and other officials
• Following procedures and applying basic rules.
4 HOURS COURSE
Delivered as a single workshop of four hours in six
sections with both theoretical and practical elements.
Practical qualification based course with formal UKA
licence once qualified. No assessment required, but
evidence of supporting officials at track and field
events is required to gain full qualification.
COSTING
£15 per person. £300 per closed course.

ATHLEACADEMY NEW
The new AthleACADEMY programme
provides athletes aged 14+ with an
opportunity to learn about the various
roles available within the sport.
Learn about coaching to volunteering
and from club management to media
and promotion via the completion of
Bronze, Silver and Gold awards.
Volunteers will be provided with their
own workbook to log their hours and
record their progression.

AGES 16+
COACHING ASSISTANT
By attending the Coaching Assistant
course, you’ll have the knowledge and
skills to deliver effective and engaging
club sessions using task cards and
session plans.
Coaching Assistants will be insured to
assist in the delivery of all aspects of a
session but should be supervised by a
qualified Coach at the same venue.
2 DAYS COURSE
Practical qualification based course
with formal UKA licence once
qualified. No assessment required.
COSTING
£245 per delegate (£185 if
EA registered member or
volunteering with affiliated club).
