SilverSneakers ® Classes<br />

SS-MSROM<br />

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase<br />

Muscular Strength, Range Of Movement and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held<br />

weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance; and a chair is<br />

used for seated and/or standing support.<br />

SS-CARDIO CIRCUIT<br />

Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power<br />

with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic<br />

tubing with handles and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography.<br />

SS-YOGASTRETCH<br />

YogaStretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing<br />

poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase<br />

flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final<br />

relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.<br />

SS-SILVERSPLASH<br />

SilverSplash utilizes the physical properties of the water to enhance agility, range of<br />

motion and cardiovascular conditioning while using a kickboard to develop strength,<br />

balance and coordination. No swimming ability is required for SilverSneakers participants<br />

to get wet, be strong and meet new friends.<br />

SENIORCIZE<br />

A low impact class with active older adults in mind. Sitting or standing, you will work<br />

upper and lower body muscles with hand weights, resistance bands, tennis balls, balance<br />

tools and hula hoops! Explore mild cardio challenges while focusing on daily life functionality-safe<br />

stair stepping and brisk walking. This class is full of variety!<br />

AQUA FIT<br />

Explore the resistive properties of water which help develop muscular strength, flexibility,<br />

and endurance while at the same time provide a low impact cardiovascular workout. Core<br />

muscles are engaged as you overcome water resistance. Intensity can range from<br />

a therapeutic level to heart pumping intensity.<br />

WALKING TRACK AND CLUB<br />

The CCC walking track is open<br />

during all building hours. It is<br />

available to everyone at no cost.<br />

Convenient parking and elevator<br />

to the track with 11 laps to a mile.<br />

This is an excellent opportunity<br />

for seniors to get exercise and to<br />

socialize with friends at the same<br />

time. We also invite you to join<br />

the <strong>Chaska</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>Center</strong><br />

Walking Club. Record your miles<br />

on our indoor track or from a<br />

measured outdoor route and turn<br />

in your mileage on a daily progression<br />

sheet available at the<br />

CCC front desk. We will maintain<br />

your total miles walked.
