Holliston Celebrates for 25th Year
Celebrate Holliston 2016 took place on a beautiful (and later, hot) day. Over 6,000 attended the festival, which
began and ended an hour earlier. Attendees enjoyed great food, cleaning out the chili from the annual chili contest,
entertainment, and good company. Take a look at some highlights:
blender at their table. Smoothies were sold for a suggested donation
of $2 apiece. Through the 22nd of October, the group will be holding
a raffle for a 165 lb. capacity mobile cabinet with 5 drawers and 49
compartments donated by Lista International. Only 100 tickets will be
sold, available for $20 each or 6 for $100 at www.HollistonTrails.org.
The Friends of Holliston Trails recently donated $14,000 to the Holliston
Rail Trail for trail surfaces, safety improvements and amenities on the
trail, including additional dog stations. Shown, from left, Liz Dembitzer,
their creations this year. The team has some fundraising to do
before the start of its season on the first Saturday in January.
They will compete in March and April, but they need to raise a few
thousand. Team members explained that this was to cover the cost
of the kit competing teams receive.
