Beach House standard writing pencil on paper 4,5 x 9 in 2014 While about his endeavors in the art community, his work was personally commended by Ivy League institutions such as Princeton University and Columbia University, and earned a membership in the American Artist Professional League. As a self-taught artist, it was vital that he surrounded himself with the proper resources in order to reach a professional level and harness his aptitude for detailed drawing. With inspirations like Frank Lloyd Wright and Salvidor Dali, he studied in his own time and painstakingly created his own technique which would allow him to achieve photorealism in his work. After about 8 years of intensive independent training he began exhibiting and was recognized for his proficiency despite never having been conventionally taught in any art school, a few of his pieces in particular being directly compared to Dali’s “Persistence of Memory”.
