CRICKET A GAME FOR ALL NEW ZEALANDERS A GAME FOR LIFE GOALS MEASURES THE BEST PLAYERS, COACHES, OFFICIALS AND SUPPORT IN CRICKET Ready to perform Aces and Hearts players, coaches and support staff through talent identification, high performance pathways and succession planning. Identify and maximise opportunities for development of the high performance system in women’s cricket. Aligned high performance strategies, facilities and programmes across all representative levels. Quality club and pathway competitions, venues and facilities to support game and player development. A way of playing that delivers results and produces BLACKCAPS and WHITE FERNS. Aces and Hearts win the most domestic titles across all formats and all Major Associations. 100% of participants in HP programme use and engage with IPP systems. Players transitioning into Aces and Hearts contribute at least one significant performance in their first domestic campaign. Talent identification and succession planning in place for coaches, management, support staff and match officials. 7 new BLACKCAPS and 4 new WHITE FERNS from Auckland players. 15 DFA players become Aces and 6 DFH players become Hearts. 3 coaches or support staff from Aces or Hearts environment gain appointment to BLACKCAPS, WHITE FERNS or international teams. 3 representative or Premier coaches gain appointment to Aces or Hearts roles or an equiavalent level. 30% of appointments to NZC National Umpires Panel are from Auckland. AUCKLAND’S SUMMER GAME Celebrating and growing the involvement of the Asian community’s role across the sport as players, administrators, coaches, umpires and fans. Improved local capability, capacity and the right facilities to support delivery of community cricket across Auckland. Promote and grow female involvement in cricket from a playing, coaching, administrative, official and supporter perspective. Develop and deliver formats of the game that meet the needs of our diverse playing base. Enhanced retention rates through quality cricket experiences and clear pathways through the game. An expanded cricket family that gives equal opportunities to under-represented and under-engaged groups. Help development and enjoyment of the game by providing qualified coaches and umpires. Achieve 25% sub-continent representation in junior playing numbers. A network of coach developers across all our clubs is in place. Achieved specified growth targets in key areas - 5% for Midget, Junior and Adult Traditional; 10% for Adult and Non-Traditional. Female participation increases by 20% across playing, coaching, umpiring and administration. High population growth areas of Auckland targeted with specific funding and Strategic Plans. Improved quality of grass wicket, artificial maintenance and outfield standard for clubs and schools from survey results and pitch reports. 95% of junior teams have a qualified coach. Consistently have enough umpires to cover Men’s Premier and Premier Reserve, Women’s Premier and School Premier A. 200 accredited umpires at junior and school level. DRAFT FINANCIAL SUCCESS The best club funding model that drives the right activities and considers the long term growth of the game in Auckland. An Auckland wide approach to maximise our commercial properties. Commercialisation of the full suite of cricket assets, and improved leveraging through our digital platform. Financially sound clubs that have the right structure and resources to foster and grow the game. Grow and communicate the value cricket brings to its commercial and delivery partners. Build an investment, asset and earnings base that will provide security for ACA in the future. Support Eden Park Trust in maximising revenues from the stadium. One major long-term sponsor for grassroots cricket in place by 2018. All clubs have a positive equity position each year. ACA keeps a strong balance sheet that maintains our consolidated equity at $1.4 million. Grow ACDF reserves to $500,000 and increase annual disbursements to $100,000 by 2020. Deliver an Aces T20 game day experience that keeps supporters wanting to return and our teams playing in front of full venues. Sports-leading digital platforms, databases and capability across the game. Ongoing targeted engagement and consistent communication with supporters. Eden Park hosts a significant schedule of international cricket every summer. ACA live stream channel that averages 1000 viewers per stream. ACA audio channel delivering a consistent schedule that averages 2000 listens per broadcast. 30% of our video and audio content is user generated. Year on year growth of viewership across all digital platforms. Crowds for T20 domestic games average 2000. Average attendances at International matches at 50% of saleable capacity. Utilise our BLACKCAPS and WHITE FERNS in at least three marketing or promotional initiatives per season. Work collaboratively with Eden Park Trust and ATEED to lobby NZC for a broad range of international cricket every summer. Eden Park cricket tours for schools initiated and grown to at least 10 a year. We will ensure the right structures, systems, agreements, and environment are in place via Club is the Hub to future proof our game and deliver our vision. Celebrate the diversity within our game and ensure that we engage with all communities that are involved with it. Maintain a process of continual improvement. DRAFT Hold a position of positive influence in the game nationally by taking a leadership role at New Zealand Cricket level. A healthy relationship with Auckland Council that enables us to be heard and influence decision making that affects our stakeholders. Strong ties with local boards that allow us to maintain influence in indvidual communities and that are strongly supported by local clubs. A positive and healthy relationship with the Eden Park Trust that maximises benefit for Auckland Cricket. A high quality independent Board that reflects the diversity of our cricket community and sets a strong vision for the association. A vibrant and exciting work environment that attracts quality staff, grows them and pushes them to the next level. Eden Park hosts a range of school, club and women’s domestic cricket events every season. Three ACA staff have gone on to gain positions at National Sporting Organizations.
