Dear Potential Sponsor,
Farm to Institution New England (FINE) along with Health Care Without Harm, the National
SUMMIT PURPOSE
This year’s summit will build on the momentum generated at the inaugural Farm to Institution
Summit in 2015 (learn more at www.farmtoinstitution.org/summit/2015). We will gather over
600 participants, including food service operators, producers, supply chain businesses,
advocates, public officials and others dedicated to harnessing the power of New England
institutions to develop an equitable and resilient food system.
The F2ISummit is designed to inspire change and energize participants through sharing best
practices and innovative strategies; enhance network capacity through skill building; and
strengthen our collective impact by engaging leaders and policymakers in shared problemsolving.
SUMMIT OBJECTIVES
By addressing key themes such as equity in
the food system, the role of policy in building
a sustainable food system, and cross-sector
networks, the 2017 New England Farm to
Institution Summit will feature a program that
helps participants:
• Develop new skills that will enhance their
effectiveness;
• Form new partnerships throughout the region
to enhance overall effectiveness;
• Learn about innovative strategies that have
worked in other communities;
• Connect to local, state or federal policy
makers to support farm to institution efforts;
• Inspire each other to set and achieve bolder
goals for our food system;
• Frame farm to institution in new ways to
connect with a broader audience; and
• Make the case for farm to institution in our
region.
YOUR SUPPORT
Food system stakeholders across our region are recognizing that the food institutions
serve matters. It makes an impact on the 3.8 million people who eat in our school, college
and hospital cafeterias; the local economy; and our natural resources. Your sponsorship
directly supports the ability of New England farm to institution network leaders to gather at
the F2ISummit and build a strong regional food system of viable farm and food businesses,
engaged institutions, and well-nourished communities.
Thank you for considering sponsoring this event. If you have any questions or would like
to discuss sponsorship opportunities and details, please contact FINE’s network director
Peter Allison at peter@farmtoinstitution.org or summit coordinator Dana Stevens at dana@
