Francisco Reis was born in 1992 in Porto, Portugal and started his<br />
musical training in the Porto’s Music Conservatory in 2001, finishing in<br />
2010 with the highest qualification.<br />
He is currently doing a Degree in Piano at ESMAE ("Escola Superior de<br />
Música e Artes do Espectáculo") under the guidance of Professor<br />
Madalena Soveral, having initially started with Pedro Burmester.<br />
Among other tutors who played an important role in his coaching as a<br />
chamber musician are Radu Ungureanu, Ryszard Woycicki and António<br />
Saiote.<br />
In addition to this, he was also granted a prize (Margarida Brochado) that<br />
allowed him to make his debut performing with an orchestra in 2010,<br />
playing Liszt's First Piano Concerto.<br />
Renowned pianists with whom he has worked with include Luiz Moura<br />
Castro, Miguel Borges Coelho, Helena de Sá e Costa, Sequeira Costa,<br />
Akiko Ebi, Karl-Heinz Kämmerling, Zoltán Kocsis, Elisabeth Leonskaja<br />
and Eldar Nebolsin.<br />
He’s part of “<strong>Tutti</strong> <strong>Per</strong> L’Arte” Orchestra since 2013.<br />
He has won several prizes in contests around Portugal and Spain, having<br />
distinguished himself with the first place in Florinda Santos<br />
International Competition (Portugal, 2008), Fundão's International<br />
Competition (Portugal, 2008), Maria Campina International<br />
Competition (Portugal, 2010) and in Ibiza's International Competition<br />
(Spain, 2008) as well. In Ciutat de Carlet International Competition<br />
(Spain, 2009) he won the second place and in Ricardo Viñes<br />
International Competition (Spain, 2009) third.<br />
