BEISTAR TECHNOLOGY - LICENCES
1. Licence to image capturing system for mobile phones and tablets with related method of
calculating the space and data storage within the codec according to the Beistar patent
application:
• In case of solutions for mobile phones and tablets a simplified system for scanning and recording in-depth data is used. This
method is able to define accurately the distance to each image point captured by the main camera of the mobile phone. This
technological solution covers the entire visible image of the structure of in-depth information about each point. In practice this
means that the output of this sensor is image information supplemented in the entire point structure by the depth information.
Design and software solution allows both installations in thin bodies of such equipment and calculation directly in these devices,
since this solution does not need high computing power.
• On the drawing there is one image point in the space which is being scanned by a specific part of the image capturing system. A
radiation from the emitter is sent to this point and after the reflection the radiation is scanned via the radiation detector. The exact
distance of the point from the mobile device is calculated by the time between the emission of radiation and its adoption.
• The outcome of this technological solution is complete image information from the main camera completed with information about
the distances of each point of this image. The disadvantage of this solution is the non-existance of eclipsing points. For the
definition of eclipsing points it is necessary to have more than just one camera (more than one CCD).
