BEISTAR TECHNOLOGY - INTRODUCTION
• The reality is captured by at least two devices, one of which is the main one.
• The more reality points are captured, the more complete the 3D imaging is; however, for
this purpose it is possible to choose different number, type and arrangement of image
capture devices according to the complexity of the scene being photographed.
• Some reality points cannot be captured via the main image capture device because they
are eclipsed by other points. These points are called “eclipsing points”. Appropriate
arrangement of auxiliary image capture devices allows them to be photographed. Working
with eclipsing points (their processing by Beistar3D codec) is one of the pillars of our 3D
technology.
• Beistar codec processes information so that the reality points from the area of the main
image capture device, which are photographed by at least one of the image capture
devices, are linked to the value of their location in three coordinates, i.e. each pixel has its
exact location within the three-dimensional pixel grid = it contains the depth parameter.
