BEISTAR TECHNOLOGY - INTRODUCTION<br />

• The reality is captured by at least two devices, one of which is the main one.<br />

• The more reality points are captured, the more complete the 3D imaging is; however, for<br />

this purpose it is possible to choose different number, type and arrangement of image<br />

capture devices according to the complexity of the scene being photographed.<br />

• Some reality points cannot be captured via the main image capture device because they<br />

are eclipsed by other points. These points are called “eclipsing points”. Appropriate<br />

arrangement of auxiliary image capture devices allows them to be photographed. Working<br />

with eclipsing points (their processing by <strong>Beistar</strong>3D codec) is one of the pillars of our 3D<br />

technology.<br />

• <strong>Beistar</strong> codec processes information so that the reality points from the area of the main<br />

image capture device, which are photographed by at least one of the image capture<br />

devices, are linked to the value of their location in three coordinates, i.e. each pixel has its<br />

exact location within the three-dimensional pixel grid = it contains the depth parameter.<br />
