Once again the Wealden Times Midwinter Fair will be
buzzing with smiley shoppers on Thursday 17, Friday 18
and Saturday 19 November. This year however, you’ll find us

High Street Spree...
The Tenterden Christmas Market will run for
three days this year from Friday 25 to Sunday
27 November, after overwhelming numbers of
visitors last year. Stalls will be located throughout
the high street, offering food, drink, children’s
rides and activities at each end of the market.

Following a devastating fire at their chosen
charity St Michael’s Hospice, Wardsbrook
Concerts have decided to hold a concert in
November, held at Milton Court Theatre in
London on Monday 7 November. This year’s
concert will present a quartet of renowned,
world-class artists including Louise Alder, Ann
Murray, Toby Spence, Sir Thomas Allen and
Julian Milford. The varied programme will
include Bernstein, Cole Porter, Fauré, Schumann,
folk songs and lots of Mozart. Tickets are being

World of Words...
This year’s festival takes place from Friday 18 to
Sunday 27 November and begins with the switch on
of the Folkestone Creative Quarter Christmas Lights.
Folkestone Book Festival will present an eclectic
line-up of speakers with talks exploring art, science,
food, history, mental health, fiction and much more.

Artisan expo...
The Cranbrook Art Show will showcase the work
of local professional artists, and this year, new
3D talent will be featured, to include sculpture,
silver jewellery with semi-precious stones and
pearls, ceramic pots and stoneware animals. The
Vestry Hall will be filled with paintings, prints,
photography and drawings from Thursday 10 to
