a fan base waiting to sit in her chair. “If
you are good to people they’re good to
you. God gave me a talent to do hair, but
it’s also given me an opportunity to help
people feel good about themselves.”
Mary is one of those people. The local
businesswoman comes to both Joe and
Whitney to color her hair and to get hair
extensions. “Joe and Whitney are wonderful
people. My hair is fine and my skin is
ultra sensitive and they do everything to
make me look good.”
It’s easy to see why everyone loves Whitney
and Joe. Both recently taught students
at the Boca Beauty Academy about color
and customer satisfaction. They do this
as an act of kindness, not for accolades or
reward. “We teach the students about conducting
an in-depth consultation with clients
so they know how to make clients happy
and get the best results,” said Whitney.
Joe and Whitney are devoted to their
profession and recently attended the “Behind
The Chair” color - style trade symposium
that features top artists and trends in
hair. “The trend for color is about brights
– blue, red, green and pink – some mixed
as highlights and others stand alone color,”
said Joe, who stresses that this crayolainspired
trend is acceptable for businesswomen
not just hipsters.
And he ought to know. Joe is a Board
Certified Hair Colorist, ace stylist and motivational
speaker who has been cutting,
extending and coloring hair for over 38
years. When he met Whitney he knew he
had met his match in both technical and
spiritual terms.
Both know that to make someone look
beautiful it has to come from the inside out.
And, they understand that being beautiful
is feeling beautiful. “We get to know our clients
and satisfy them in the best way possible.
But we could never accomplish what
we do without being a team,” said Whitney.
Heather Karzmer is a loyal fan of that
team. She’s been coming to Whitney for
cut and color for six years and adores
Whitney for her talent and goodness of
heart. “Whitney is successful because she’s
passionate about hair and makes people
feel happy,” said the strawberry blond who
came with her son Nate to have Whitney
buzz cut his hair.
Mary feels the same way. “Joe helped
me get my Mojo back. I am so grateful to
both of them for making me feel and look
so good.”
There’s a reason why their chairs are
always full and the vibe is always upbeat.
It’s the joyfulness of two people doing what
they’re passionate about and spreading
that perfection to others. It picks you up
and perks you up with the highest standard
of beauty around.
