Load on Blocks<br />

WARNING<br />

The Working Load Limit (WLL) is the maximum resultant load which should ever<br />

be applied to a block and its fittings. Blocks used to fairlead (single sheave and<br />

snatch blocks) can be subjected to a load greater than the weight being lifted or<br />

pulled.<br />

WARNING<br />

The total weight (load) on a single sheave block or snatch block varies with<br />

the bight angle between the incoming and outgoing line to the block (see<br />

Figure 2).<br />
