TUESDAY 4TH APRIL<br />
Dover Castle & Secret War Tunnels<br />
Dominating the skyline on the famous White Cliffs, Dover Castle and the labyrinth<br />
of tunnels beneath it provide a fascinating day out. Dover Castle proudly stands in<br />
100 acres of grounds that are steeped in history. The mighty keep and bailey, built<br />
by Henry II, are the finest of their kind, while the panoramic views out across the<br />
English Channel from the lookout are astonishing. There are many discoveries to<br />
be made in the Castle and also included is the Secret Wartime Tunnels. You can<br />
visit the telecommunications room, underground hospital and anti-aircraft room and enjoy audio-visual<br />
effects, film clips, sounds and smells of Britain at War.<br />

WEDNESDAY 5TH APRIL<br />
All Aboard for the Workhouse<br />
The day starts off at the market town of Wymondham where we board our train for a journey along the line<br />
of the Mid-Norfolk Railway to Dereham. After an inclusive light lunch at Dereham Station we make our way to<br />
Gressenhall by coach, to visit the workhouse and Farm Museum. Here you can explore this truly unique<br />
museum, discover the historic workhouse and learn of the lives of its inhabitants and staff. Also see the museum<br />
of the land – recounting rural life in bygone Norfolk – and visit the traditional farm with its rare breeds of stock.<br />
