“Hey Guys – we’ve got Bruce Viljoens new Husky<br />
450FX at the shop – how’d you like to come and<br />
take this special machine for a little ride?”<br />
With only 2 of these bikes in the country – we’d be<br />
stupid not to jump at the chance…<br />
That was the call from the ever enthusiastic mob from<br />
Bikers Warehouse in Malobongwe drive. It was just one<br />
day before this deadline – so we jumped at the opportunity<br />
to test this fairly unique 450 at their track. To be absolutely<br />
honest, we need to get this bike out on to some faster<br />
flowing trails, that will come soon.<br />
The skinny:<br />
These X bikes fall between the FC and TC (motocross)<br />
models and the FE and TE (Enduro) models. The TX (twostroke)<br />
and FX (four-stroke) can be considered Husky’s<br />
Cross Country race bikes, designed for closed course offroad<br />
competition such as Hare and Hounds, GNCCs, and<br />
National Enduro. But Husqvarna also made it very clear that<br />
the TX and FXs are at home on a motocross track as well as<br />
single track.<br />
