“Its 7h30 in the evening and the tiny headlight on the SM950 I’m riding is barely illuminating the road<br />
ahead as we cut through a sprawling township on one of The Strugnells famous short cuts our way<br />
back to the East Rand. Added to the bad visibility is the snotty slime created by a swarm of Flying ants<br />
that has congealed on My Tour-X Visor. I can only imagine what my mates with the tinted visors are<br />
going through… but home beckons and it’s been another awesome day in Africa…”<br />

heard us say this a lot: You can point your<br />
motorcycle in virtually any direction and<br />
have a great ride. I hear the Ous from the<br />
Cape and Natal sniggering… Yup – even<br />
in Gauteng chaps, we do have some great<br />
adventure destinations.<br />
The stars of the show are always the<br />
cool bikes that we manage to scrounge<br />
up as we go. For the December issue (flip,<br />
already that time), we put in a concerted<br />
effort to include all of the mega adventures<br />
that we have ridden and tested through<br />
the year – kind of a re-affirmation and<br />
comparison of 2016’s offerings before the<br />
new models start trickling in. It’s also a<br />
great excuse to hook up with old and new<br />
friends to do what we all love.
