Success through collaboration<br />
Siemens is collaborating with experienced<br />
partners to further develop<br />
MindSphere. For example, the professional<br />
software developer Accenture<br />
supports OEMs with several MindSphere<br />
apps for new digital services, such as<br />
preventive maintenance and remote<br />
status monitoring. The “Out of the<br />
Box Analytics” offering has already<br />
been tested by customers, and, without<br />
exception, generated positive<br />
feedback.<br />
Atos SE is the new partner for IT services<br />
and applications. Atos provides<br />
MindSphere customers a structured<br />
approach, with offerings that range<br />
from quickly implemented services<br />
for first results to ready-to-use<br />
MindSphere applications. The goal<br />
is to speed up the prototyping,<br />
validation, and implementation of<br />
MindSphere applications through<br />
the use of automated and predefined<br />
use cases.<br />
Potential for new business models<br />
In addition to end customers such as<br />
car manufacturers, an increasing<br />
number of machine builders are also<br />
taking advantage of the benefits of<br />
MindSphere. Especially when it comes<br />
to machines that are distributed worldwide,<br />
proactive service is extremely<br />
useful. An OEM that can determine<br />
the status of a device with the data<br />
available in MindSphere and know<br />
which replacement parts are needed<br />
can, for example, offer customers<br />
lower warranty costs. MindSphere<br />
also enables new business models<br />
that go beyond the mere provision of<br />
services to include informing the end<br />
customer about the necessary replacement<br />
of parts in time to prevent<br />
plant downtime. The honing machine<br />
manufacturer Gehring, for example,<br />
is already using MindSphere to<br />
monitor the wear of honing stones<br />
