Manager PRO<br />
Simatic Energy Suite, as an integrated option for TIA Portal,<br />
efficiently combines energy management with automation,<br />
bringing more energy transparency into the <strong>product</strong>ion<br />
line. The configuration effort is reduced thanks to<br />
energy-measuring components from the Simatic, Sentron,<br />
Simocode, Sinamics, and Sirius <strong>product</strong> lines – such as, for<br />
example, the Energy Meter module, which records energy<br />
flows either directly at the machine or from a central<br />
location.<br />
With the integrated link to Simatic Energy Manager PRO<br />
or the cloud-based Energy Analytics service, the recorded<br />
energy data can be seamlessly integrated into a locationindependent<br />
energy management system. This also allows<br />
companies to comply with all the necessary financial and<br />
management requirements – from procuring energy, to<br />
energy planning, to energy controlling – for conformance<br />
with ISO 50001. Users need only basic configuration<br />
know-how for the Simatic Energy Suite. This makes integration<br />
faster and shortens configuration times.<br />
Certified energy management<br />
Simatic Energy Manager PRO is the innovated successor to<br />
Simatic B.Data V6.0. The scalable and location-independent<br />
energy management software can retrieve energy data<br />
directly from Simatic Energy Suite, Simatic WinCC, Simatic<br />
PCS 7, Simatic PLCs, and measuring devices, thanks to its<br />
many interfaces. Linking energy and <strong>product</strong>ion data<br />
makes it possible to determine the energy costs per piece,<br />
machine, and shift. The software thus offers a variety of<br />
functions to users, from energy efficiency controlling and<br />
cost center accounting with corporate-wide energy<br />
analyses (e.g., reports, dashboards, KPIs) to optimizing<br />
energy procurement. The TÜV-certified system makes it<br />
easy to comply with the statutory requirements set down<br />
in ISO 50001.<br />
Simatic Energy Manager PRO also offers machine efficiency<br />
analysis. With standardized indicators such as<br />
energy utilization, energy efficiency, and energy quality,<br />
the energy efficiency of a machine can be evaluated,<br />
monitored, and optimized. This enables machine owners<br />
to improve their energy efficiency by, for example,<br />
reducing standby losses.<br />
