· In the next 20 years, Indian cities would require an additional 7.5
to 9.7 billion square feet of commercial and residential spaces.

· Real estate market, the 4 largest sector in Indian economy is
expected to reach US$ 80 billion by 2020 from US$ 93.8 billion in
2014. Total FDI in the construction development sector during
April 2000–May 2015 stood at around US$ 24.07 billion.
· The Government of India approved 100 Smart City Projects in India.
· The government allocated US$ 3.72 billion for housing and urban
development.
· The Planning Commission had projected a USD 1 trillion
investment in infrastructure for the 2012-17 period.
· A proposed allocation of INR 40 Billion, to set up a mission on low
cost affordable housing, will be anchored in the National Housing
Bank.
· A proposed allocation of INR 1 Billion, to develop metro projects
in Lucknow & Ahmedabad.
· INR 80 Billion has been allocated for the National Housing Bank
with a view to expand and continue to support rural housing in
the country.
· Government has announced to develop 60 new Airports in India
this year.
· Infrastructure development calls for about INR 14,500 billion or
US$320 billion during the 11th Five Year Plan period.

country. ArchiDesign Awards has been promoting architecture
and recognizing the professional work on the global scale for
all these long years. This year ArchiDesign Awards have made
