Chapter - II
Eligibility Criteria (Common to all Awards)
(i) For ARCHITECTURE AWARDS
The Awards are open to Architects, Professionals, Firms or
Organizations, practising both in Government and Private Sectors,
engaged in the profession of architecture and design or individuals
who have made outstanding contributions in the field of architecture
in India and abroad. Registration Numbers with COA is must.
(ii) For INTERIOR DESIGN AWARDS
These Awards are open to interior designers, architects and service
providers who are registered with the respective authorities and are
engaged in such projects for the last 3 years and have contributed
significantly. Registration Numbers with respective authority is
desirable.
(iii) For CRITICS CHOICE AWARDS
a. Award for the Best Written Works on Architecture or
Environment. Open to writers, journalists, architects, interior
designers, engineers, environmentalists, Energy Efficiency
practitioners, artists, sculptors, non-architects etc. including
those who contribute to architecture either by writing, making
documentary films on architecture, environment, conservation
etc. with a minimum of 3 years such experience. RNI Number or
ISBN number of submitted entries is must. Digital copies/
reproductions/photostats are not permitted.
b. Award for Strive towards Architectural / Environmental /
Heritage Conservation for an architect, individual, Trust or a
conversationalist professional striving to preserve our rich
architectural / environmental heritage of this great Nation with
around 10 years of experience in undertaking such projects.
(iii) For NOMINATIONS AWARDS
For Award for the Best of Faculty (Architecture) For an allround
academic personality in architecture and planning
having excelled in teaching of architecture, planning and its
allied disciplines. One who is considered as Idol, an inspiration
by young, budding as well as established architects of repute.
One who is still going strong and with a minimum 15 years of
teaching experience and been a part of the coming up colleges
of architecture.
For Award for the Best Structural Engineering Design of the
Year, the participant has to be a structural engineer professional
whose remarkable contributions, consistently in built form and
whose understanding of the project, requirement & selection;
application of the innovative use of technology has added a new
dimension and with around minimum of 10 years of experience.
For ArchiDesign Lifetime Achievement Award (New)
ArchiDesign Lifetime Achievement Award is an honour
bestowed upon architect whose lifetime achievement and
contribution to the profession that has had a unique and lasting
impact on the fellow professionals, fraternity and welfare of the
public and environment.
Chapter - III
Award Period (Common to all Awards)

“Come, take your share of the World”
Awards shall be made annually.
Only recent works assignments / projects completed in the
preceding 6 years, of Awards (e.g. 1st January 2011 to 31st
March 2016), shall be considered for the 2016 Awards.
If, in the opinion of the Jury, none of the entries received for a
specific Award deserves the Award, the Jury in its absolute
discretion may withhold the Award for that year.
Chapter - IV
Submission of Entries (Common to all Awards)
Every year the ArchiDesign Awards Secretariat issues notifications/
letters/ advertisements in leading dailies and/or trade journals,
through online mailers, web campaigns, inviting entries from
competent persons .
Date of Submission of entries: The Jury shall consider all such entries /
proposals as have been received in the ArchiDesign Award
Secretariat, New Delhi.
ArchiDesign Awards
(iii) Entries should be accompanied by adequate evidence in support of
their fulfilling the requirement as mentioned in the application form.
(IV) The same project cannot be considered for more than 2 categories.
However, complete documentation & registration process has to be
applied separately for all the categories for which the entries are
sent.
For Architectural & Interior Design Awards
a. Form of Declaration. (As given in the application form)
b. 1. A maximum of 5 (five) reproductions of the drawings / plans of
the completed project, in A-3 sizes each.
2. A maximum of 5 (five) photographs of the completed project in
A-4 or equivalent size, or compiled in the specified size. Pl do
not send computer paper-printouts.
3. Written / typed text of up to 500-700 words explaining the
design concept, project highlights, & innovation demonstrated
in not more than two A-4 size pages.
4. The name of the architect / entrant/ participant should ONLY be
written at the back of the drawings / photographs. However, the
Tracking Number should be mentioned on the right hand top /
bottom corner of the Drawing / Photos/ or on the CDs etc.
c. Bio-data / profile of the applicant highlighting his / her professional
attainments, together with 1 (one) passport size photograph. (Pl do
not use computer paper printouts.)
d. All Individuals, Firms, Organizations may send their entries directly to
the Secretariat in the specified format under Courier / Registered
Post / Personal Delivery. Acknowledgement will be sent by the
secretariat.
e. A CD presentation detailing all about the project/ design should be
sent along with the entry, for the compilation & publishing of the
Winning projects. All graphics/ images should preferably be in High
Resolution - 300 dpi and above and saved in jpg / cymk -Tiff formats.
In the CD, more photos, plans and / or Bold graphics can be sent.
For Critics Awards:
Depending on the category of Awards, a person wishes to participate, 3
Nos. of books / writing piece, DVD / documentary film should be
submitted .
a. Form of Declaration (As given in the application form)
b. Necessary draft sketches, of the project / entry.
c. A concept note.
d. Bio-data / Profile of the designer / author.
e. Typed synopsis of the work/entry submitted should be submitted
explaining the project in approx. 600 – 800 words
f. A CD presentation detailing all about the project/design must be sent
along-with the Entry for participation.
For Nomination Awards:
The person whose name is recommended to Jury or by fraternity of
Architects, shall have to provide all details requireds so as to qualify
for consideration of his or her nomination. Pl read the Application

ArchiDesign Awards for Excellence in Architecture & Infrastructure 2016
It’s On!
Evaluation of Entries (Common to all Awards)
(I) An entry shall be given an Award if, in the opinion of the Jury, the entry
is excellent, innovative and the person conferred has made
outstanding contribution in the field of Architecture.
(ii) The Award shall invariably be made to a person, or in case of an entry
made by a team or a Firm / Organization, to the team leader or to a
person so nominated by the team or Firm / Organization. The
name(s) as given in the Application Form (Hard Copy) will how ever
not be deleted from records.
(iii) The work should generally conform to rules, regulations and byelaws
applicable to the work .
(iv) If the Jury considers it necessary to visit the work, the Architect is
expected to accompany the Jury personally and make all
arrangements.
